Flu Information

Flu season is here and we would like to encourage all students, parents, faculty and staff to be aware of common symptons of the flu. Seasonal flu and H1N1 (Swine flu) share many of the same signs and symptons. This is why it is very important for parents to seek medical attention from the child's physician for flu like symptoms. Flu symptoms may include: headache or body aches; sore throat; cough; fever; chills; runny or stuffy nose; generalized feeling of being tired; nausea or vomiting. Keep in mind your child may not experience every symptom. Parents are being asked to not send children to school if they are sick. Children should be kept home until they have been free of fever for 24 hours. Do not give your children fever reducing medicine and send them to school.

The school is continuing to take every precaution possible to prevent or slow down the spread of infection. Students, faculty and staff are being educated on, as well as, planning and carrying out guidlines set forth by the CDC (Center for Disease Control).
