I choose several different centers to use each day/week, students work at a solo center, and rotate every 10 minutes during center time.

Write the room, word building with cards and letter tiles, library center, block center, , art center, puzzles and games, play dough, ABC word, math center, shave cream writing or hot choc. writing, science center, listening center, felt boards, puppets, building centers, lacing cards, cut and paste, letter magnets, magnet center, discovery center, light brite, pocket chart name matching, copy-cat center (copy something the teacher has made, or copy and make a book) , high light words or letters from magazines or newspapers, and lots

 

more!!

 

I eat my lunch during this time! I also help individual or small groups finish work from earlier, work on ABC sounds and recognition, Numbers, sight words, testing, progress monitoring, etc.

 

 Friday is Freedom Friday- we will have a movie and a snack during this time!

Home 2:45

Students clean up their area, get backpacks, put chairs up, and line up for car and bus lines. Students who stayed on green all day get a prize! Car riders line up in front of the door, and bus riders line up on the center mat.
